Become a Museum Volunteer

As a volunteer, you would have a choice of helping with special events, researching a specific topic, doing marketing and publicity, helping with maintenance, and/or digitizing archival information.

Donate Items to Our Museum

Here at the museum, we love to tell the stories of Pocahontas County. We use many of the artifacts at the museum to help tell these stories, but we've noticed some gaps in our collection. View our wish list to see what we need.

Become a Member

Help collect, preserve, and share the stories. Become a member of the Pocahontas County Historical Society. We have three options to become a member. You can become a member for one year with a $10 donation, a member for five years with a $50 donation, and a member for ten years with a $100 donation.

Wish List

Here at the museum, we love to tell the stories of Pocahontas County. We do programs for school students and local clubs. We update exhibits at the museum to keep visitors coming back. We display parts of our collection in three of the county libraries. We use many of the artifacts at the museum to help tell these stories, but we've noticed some gaps in our collection.

Would you like to help out by donating any of the following items to the museum?

railroad items
small items from the 1950's (poodle skirt, saddle shoes, household items, etc)
any small items pertaining to the immigrant experience
kitchen cupboard
ice chest

Photos of Pocahontas County (These can be scanned and returned.)
any item from Pocahontas County that has a good story
